Classic Strawberry Ice Cream

Wash the fresh strawberries and remove the stems.

Slice the strawberries and place them in a bowl with sugar. Let them sit for about 15 minutes to macerate.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until well combined.

Blend the macerated strawberries into a puree, leaving some small chunks for texture if desired.

Combine the strawberry puree with the cream mixture until fully incorporated.

Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Transfer the ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
