A delicious sirloin steak served with a tangy lingonberry sauce and a side of sautéed red cabbage, perfect for a hearty dinner.
Season the sirloin steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest while preparing the sauce.
In the same skillet, add the lingonberry jam and a splash of water to create a sauce, stirring until heated through and well combined.
For the red cabbage, slice it thinly and chop the onion.
In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat and add the onion, cooking until translucent.
Add the sliced red cabbage and apple cider vinegar to the pan, stirring occasionally until the cabbage is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
Serve the steaks topped with the lingonberry sauce alongside the sautéed red cabbage.
